Re: Link speed limited to 10gbps

Howdy, Aleksey, thank you a lot for replying.

 

Mellanox NICs (MCX313A-BCBT) are 40gbps Ethernet cards not IB HCAs. I don't use OFED but rather native Linux ethernet drivers provided by Mellanox.

 

Devices are plugged into Gen3 x16 slots where are are seen as   LnkSta: Speed 8GT/s, Width x8, TrErr- Train- SlotClk+ DLActive- BWMgmt- devices which is exactly what expected.

 

This is unlikely "pci bandwidth limitation" problem as throughput is capped precisely at 10gbps link speed. By looking into driver sources I see that it's the firmware that reports link speed at 10gbps, does not like my QSFP+ transceivers as it seems.
